TYRETEMP PRO

The tyre surface temperature is picturing the interaction between tyre and tarmac. Analysing this parameter will help you to improve and speed up your tyre management, development  and modelling.

Known devices like single spot or multi-spot IR sensors give an idea of tyre temperatures and also a limited view on the distribution over the tyre. This information is helpful but not enough.

TyreTempPRO is much more powerful. It has been developed for Formula 1 tyre testing and provides 100 data points over the defined measurement area. For average tyre sizes this equals a resolution of about 2 – 3 millimeters per measurement point.

TyreTempPRO provides the full picture of the temperature distribution over the tyre surface.

The system is capable to record up to 4 video streams in parallel. The PROfiler software will post-process the videos and dynamically extract the tyre temperature profile data from the defined measurement area.

The extracted data are available in MATLAB data format ( “.mat” files) and can be analysed with the PROmotion software tool – or be processed in any user-defined environment.

The TyreTempPRO system can be applied on race cars, passenger cars and tyre test benches.
